Sibling duo takes over the management of DIMOS
Next generation at the helm of international family business
DIMOS Maschinenbau GmbH from Petersberg has initiated the handover of the internationally active family business to the second generation. On January 1, 2023, siblings Michelle Bohl and Pascal Schütz took over the management of the company from Hanna and Alfred Schütz. Together with Dieter Modrey, they have built up the company since 1993 and developed it into one of the leading niche manufacturers in the industrial truck industry. The change, which has been prepared in recent years, is taking place in the year of DIMOS' 30th anniversary. The company now has 105 employees and operates a branch in Dubai.
There are changes in the management team at DIMOS, the internationally active manufacturer of industrial trucks in small series and special machine builder: the previous managing directors Hanna and Alfred Schütz are handing over their responsibilities to the next generation. Siblings Michelle Bohl and Pascal Schütz have been involved in the family business for many years and have grown up with the company. After completing her Master's degree in International Management in 2011, Michelle Bohl joined the company. Pascal Schütz took on permanent roles at DIMOS in 2012 after completing his degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on development and design. The next step has now followed: both will take over the management of DIMOS on January 1, 2023 and continue to write the company's success story. This has been particularly evident in the last three years. DIMOS has expanded, tripled both its product capacity and the number of employees and opened up new business areas. These include driverless transport systems, heavy-duty transport systems, small series production and the development of solutions for the air cargo industry. DIMOS also opened a branch in Dubai in 2022, from where business in the United Arab Emirates is managed.
Teamwork comes first
They describe the fact that the two new managing directors have already been working together in the company for several years and complement each other well as a major advantage for the challenges ahead. The duo sees these in particular in sustainably shaping the current growth at DIMOS and stabilizing internal processes in order to be able to react even better to times of crisis and the resulting market situation. "We are being given a responsibility that we are looking forward to, but which we also see and want to approach with a healthy respect. We are also looking forward to further cooperation with our strategic partners, through which we hope to achieve important synergy effects and further expand these in international sales," explains Michelle Bohl. DIMOS takes a positive view of the long-prepared change in management and is looking forward to the work of the new generation. Michelle Bohl and Pascal Schütz want to continuously adapt the department structure to the company's ongoing growth in order to continue to be a stable partner and employer. "We were taught values by our parents that form the basis for today's corporate culture. These include courage, solidarity, passion, a sense of duty, straightforwardness, belief in the company and perseverance. We would like to thank our parents for placing their trust in DIMOS in our hands. Our greatest motivation is to lead the company and its employees into a stable and successful future," says Pascal Schütz.
The previous managing directors Hanna and Alfred Schütz are delighted about the generational change. This is the first change of management since the company was founded in 1993. You can find out more about DIMOS here.
