DMS multidirectional sideloader from DIMOS
Put your "Man-Up" in the Air
Cabin with unique initial lift carries driver 14 meters into the air
Effortlessly lift loads weighing several tons at heights of up to 14 meters: The DMS-LK from DIMOS impresses with its man-up cab with integrated initial lift. In terms of lifting height and ergonomics, the load-accompanying cab offers enormous efficiency and safety benefits for the driver and goods. With its flexible functions, the ergonomic multidirectional sideloader is also suitable for highly specific user requirements. The vehicle improves the overview in the storage and retrieval process and thus enables efficient narrow-aisle operation at high lift heights, especially for long goods and special load carriers.
The DMS electric multidirectional sideloader has been a focal point of the Petersberg-based machine manufacturer's product portfolio since 1994. Thanks to its compact size, the multidirectional sideloader is also able to drive through narrow aisles and travel paths and therefore easily adapts to confined spaces. The DMS is also suitable for transporting long, heavy and bulky goods: with a load capacity of up to 30,000 kilograms in the standard range and separate fork carriers, the multidirectional sideloader can transport long goods of up to 40 meters, for example. This makes the DMS perfect for cross-industry use: from the building materials market to the wood and plastics industry to mechanical engineering and wind turbine construction.
Precise overview of aerial heights
With man-up cabs in the multidirectional sideloader sector, the driver's cab is traditionally mounted on the inner mast of the mast. This is not always an advantage, as high lift heights also result in a high overall height of the lift mast. However, this means that the classic load-supporting cab loses more of its purpose, as the operator is too far away from the load or has to accept a high climb into the machine. In order to retain the positive aspects of a man-up cab, DIMOS has developed an innovative and unique solution: the man-up cab with initial lift of the DMS is not attached to the lift mast inner frame, but directly to the fork carriage. Thanks to the unique initial lift, the cab moves with the forks to the top position. This gives users an optimum sitting and viewing position at a height of up to 14 meters. This function makes the DMS unique among multidirectional sideloaders.
Manufacturer recognizes development potential
In order to prepare the industrial truck for future user requirements today, DIMOS is examining future-oriented development potential and its implementation in the multidirectional sideloader. One of the focus topics: autonomous driving for industrial trucks. "It depends on the individual application and the industry as to whether manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic solutions are more worthwhile for the user," explains Niklas Döppner, Sales Manager at DIMOS. The Petersberg-based machine manufacturer is therefore in close contact with the user for each individual project in order to always get the maximum potential out of the circumstances.
